1. Sometimes at the start of class
I will ask you to get out your journals.
Do this very quickly, wait to find what you are to do, and complete work properly and start writing in your journal--notebook.
A. Directions might be on the white board or you will be told this quickly for what you need to do "asap."
B. Be sure to date your paper and begin the short assignment.
3. When this short 5-10 minutes of work is done, close your notebook and be ready to finish the class.
4. The journal might not be due
for another week or so. It might be typical to write in your journals 3-5 times before it is collect and graded.
